What needs
to change?

People who have dealt with the criminal justice system know where it can fall short. Their experience should inform decisions about how it works.

Learning from experience

An unclear letter, an inaccessible process or a concern that goes unanswered can have a real effect on someone’s life. Listening to those experiences helps identify what needs to improve.

Our approach brings that knowledge together with research and evidence.

Our interests

01

Access to justice

Making it easier to understand processes and find appropriate help.

02

Autism and neurodiversity

Recognising different communication needs and experiences of the system.

03

Fair treatment

Taking people’s circumstances seriously and involving them in decisions that affect them.

These describe our interests. They are not invitations to an open study or campaign.
