Ryan Jarvis, Founder & CEO

Ryan Jarvis

Ryan Founded and became CEO of Conviction in 2018, upon its formal registration as a charitable company. He is also the go to person when volunteers are not sure on something and dedicates a number of hours every week to helping people have a voice and be heard.

Ryan is an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute for Legal Executives (ACILEx) and is also a member of Liberty Human Rights, Restraint Reduction Network, Autism and Intellectual Disability in Criminal Justice Network and more recently the National Police Autism Association.


Rachael Smith, Policy & Communications Volunteer

Rachael Smith

Rachael joined us in June 2020 and has been a fantastic asset, taking a lead role in the planning and preparation of our Autism in the CJS policy area. Rachael’s role as a policy and communications volunteer includes policy research, stakeholder engagement and user needs assessments by interpreting complex information from our service users and helping us to plan for further areas of policy work and campaigning.

Rachael has a Bachelors Degree in Classical Civilisation and works for the homeless charity St Mungo’s as a Project Worker.


Sophie Rawe, Branding & Design Volunteer

Sophie Rawe

Sophie joined the Conviction team in July 2020 and has worked extensively with our Founder, contributing to the brand strategy, development and visual identity design for our new brand and communications plan which we hope to launch in the New Year. Sophie is a valued member of the team and has helped us to think more about what we are attempting to achieve as an organisation.

Sophie has a Bachelors Degree in Illustration and has worked on some commendable projects with organisations such as Action for Children, Rick Stein, Vault49 and The Sparkle Foundation.

Mary is a highly experienced and committed member of the Criminal Justice Hub content team. Achieving a First Class Honours Degree in Computer Science and her day to day work being within one of the world’s leading law firms we very much appreciate her expertise and detailed comparisons of content.


Stacey Davidson, Creative Strategic Lead

Stacey Davidson

Stacey is full of creative ideas and new ways of thinking, and is a talented communicator with a passion for writing, strategy and planning. Fascinated by the underlying psychology of what makes communications great, Stacey cleverly unpicks how they make us feel, behave and interact. The diversity of her many years’ experience mean she’s skilled in business development, account handling, project management, design and creative copywriting.


Sam Lethbridge, Scientific Communications Lead

Sam Lethbridge

Sam has a PhD and research experience in Molecular Microbiology which means he’s used to delving deep into the science with an excellent attention to the fine details. This background and his years of professional writing experience in the healthcare industry allow him to manage a project, whatever its size, creating accurate and engaging communications every time. Sam is the go-to for keeping up to date on regulatory codes.


Stacey Blease, Scientific Copywriter

Stacey Blease

Stacey is a qualified Veterinary Surgeon with a PhD who is passionate about research and education. From her experience in educational roles, Sparky enjoys seeing people become more confident after using knowledge transfer resources. When planning educational content and copywriting, she carefully considers how best to provide evidence-based information to the target audience. Her ability to acquire new knowledge and skills quickly means that she is great at getting up to speed on new projects.
